No More New Amsterdam???
Though final decisions have not been made, and there are a wealth of fans who are just dying to see Nicolaj Coster-Waldau’s New Amsterdam come back this fall, sources are saying that sadly, it isn’t looking good for a second season.
Fox did give New Amsterdam a vote of confidence, having it premiere in the coveted post-American Idol slot last month. And though it drew a respectable 13.7 million viewers, I'm hearing that might not be enough. (Even last year’s The Wedding Bells earned slightly higher post-Idol ratings, and still that series disappeared quietly.)
Fox boss Kevin Reilly recently told The Hollywood Reporter that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Back to You are the two most likely freshman candidates to return for a sophomore season, implying that other shows such as New Amsterdam just haven’t caught on with audiences. Think he’s wrong? I know some of you most certainly do! So sound off in the comments below and let him see the Amsterdam love...The final decision will be made by mid-May in time for the New York upfronts, where Fox will announce its new schedule.

Woot! Woot!Josh also reveals that the table read begins today and: "All in all, pound for pound, soup to nuts, man vs. beast, it's a pretty amazing ensemble. I'm not sure how I landed this troupe, but rest assured I'm gonna write bestest good word for talkacting to them yes! They're in good hands."Um, ya think?!Unleash your Dollhouse butterflies below...

Major LOST Death!
For Episode 4x09 "The Shape of Things to Come": "The invasion of the island commences. In the first 15 minutes 3 characters are killed (minor ones). Later in the episode some one is shot in the head execution style, but it’s not who you think if you’ve seen any promos. This character is a major one."

Will Your Show Survive?
Here's Ausiello's take on what chances the shows have:
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
The bad news: For as much money as Fox poured into this show in terms of promotion and special effects, it should've done better.
The good news: The network seems to think it will do better next season — it's already staffing up.
Odds of Survival: 9
New Amsterdam
The bad news: The fact that Fox trimmed its initial order for the show doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
The good news: It's held up surprisingly well ratings-wise.
Odds of survival: 6
Moonlight
The bad news: Another backstage shake-up has left the series without a show-runner.
The good news: Fans are batty over this vampire drama and have even gone so far as to organize a blood drive with the Red Cross to draw attention to it.
Odds of Survival: 8

Stargate Atlantis Episode Details!
Episode 5x06 "The Shrine of Talus"
In new interviews with GateWorld, Wright and Atlantis co-star David Hewlett ("Rodney McKay") revealed details about the story and the impact it is sure to have."My favorite script of all time is 'The Shrine of Talus,' [which] Brad Wright has just written," Hewlett said. "It's good to have Brad. It is the one that is going to blow everyone away. It's unbelievable. It's a wicked acting piece. Kate [Hewlett, David's sister] is coming back -- we've got Jeannie back. It's just brutal. It's a total tear-jerker."
In the episode, Rodney McKay suffers from an mental affliction that rapidly robs him of his memories and his identity."It is the inverse of 'Flowers For Algernon,'" Wright revealed to GateWorld. (In the award-winning novel by Daniel Keyes, a man with an IQ of 68 has experimental surgery to increase his intelligence -- but the effects gradually begin to wear off.)
"McKay ends up suffering from the effects of something that is very common among the very old in the Pegasus Galaxy that is equivalent to fast on-set Alzheimer's, that is called 'Second Childhood' in the Pegasus Galaxy. And he very quickly not just loses his memory, but becomes quite childlike.
"Interestingly, the first symptom is that he's a wonderful person," Wright said. "Nobody notices that there is something wrong at first, because they all like it -- until it is too late to operate."Ronon comes up with an idea, and the story takes off from there."The episode clearly gives Hewlett a large range to play, as the most brilliant person in the Pegasus Galaxy loses everything that he feels makes him who he is, and as McKay interacts with his friends and his sister.
"For McKay it's fantastic, because there is this whole deterioration thing happening," Hewlett added. "It is the one that I am, without a doubt, the most looking forward to right now.""It's a character study for practically everyone in the cast, and David gets to play as an actor in a very big way," Wright said. "I've heard it from a few folks reading the script that it has choked them up. Hopefully it has the same effect on the audience when they see the scenes. It's moving."And everything is OK ... I don't kill anyone!"

Latest from TV Guide's Ausiello:
Question: Any scoop on why Bones would need a new forensic anthropologist? Is something going to happen to Zack? — Elizabeth
Ausiello: Sure sounds like it based on Fox's official episode description for the May 19 season finale: "When a human jawbone shows up at the Jeffersonian, Brennan and the team quickly realize that the Gormogon serial killer has struck again. In a shocking turn of events, an explosion in the lab sends Zack to the hospital; Gormogon's silver skeleton goes missing from the basement vault; and every Jeffersonian employee becomes a suspect, with the very real possibility that one of their very own may be working with the twisted and elusive serial killer."

Question: Are Booth and Brennan going to do any more kissing this season? — S.W.
Ausiello: I don't believe so. They will, however, become temporary parents to a baby whose mother was murdered under mysterious circumstances. That episode airs April 28.

Question: Can you please, please, please confirm or shoot down the rumor that Alona Tal might be returning for an episode of Supernatural this season. And if she is, can you reassure me that she's not getting killed off? I really couldn't handle yet another of my beloved recurring characters being put on the "kicked the bucket" list. — Alexandra
Ausiello: I can confirm that Alona Tal is not returning for an episode this season and, therefore, will not be getting killed off.
Question: Do you know anything about the new Claire storyline on Lost that Team Darlton has talked about recently? — Leo
Ausiello: No, but I imagine it's connected to the new Emilie de Ravin contract that I'm hearing about. Speaking of Lost, if it's a major death-related spoiler you crave, then check out this week's AR vodcast!
