Fringe Casting Scoop!

LOST Scoop!

Here:

SPOILERS!

Question: Got any 24 scoop to tide us over until January? -- Jack

Ausiello: A pivotal character from last Sunday's Redemption movie will die within the first four hours of Day 7.

Question: What's the deal with evil Tony on 24? What made him go postal? -- Craig

Ausiello: I hear it has something to do with his wife being blown to bits three years ago. Apparently he didn't take it too well.

Question: Will Audrey Raines (a.k.a. Kim Raver) turn up on 24 this season now that Lipstick Jungle is no more? -- Carina

Ausiello: As far as I know, she's still in a catatonic state at the beach with that schemer from Knots Landing. (FYI: The script for the season finale of 24 was already written and locked when the ax fell on Lipstick.)

Question: What scoop do you have on Battlestar Galactica? I know the identity of the last cylon is hush-hush, but you must have other tidbits to tide me over until Jan. 16. -- Paige

Ausiello: Actually, the final cylon -- not so hush-hush. Speaking of BSG, awesome promo alert!

Question: Are we going to see some Heroes deaths before "Villains" is over? And is he/she going to actually stay dead? -- Dan

Ausiello: I know of at least one, and, well, let's just say I was not happy. I have a hunch we'll see a lot more permanent bloodshed in "Fugitives." In related news, Heroes is looking for an actor in his 40s to play a member of a bomb squad who is called on to defuse an explosive situation.

Question: At the end of "Bride" episode of Smallville we see someone I'm presuming is Lex. Will Michael Rosenbaum be making his return to Smallville anytime soon? -- Gilles

Ausiello: Okay, I have to choose my words carefully here: There is no deal…currently in place…for Michael Rosenbaum to…return...to Smallville.

Question: Supernatural scoop, please? -- Josh

Ausiello: Cougar alert! Supexecs are casting the role of a sexy and smart thirtysomething doctor who likes booze and one night stands. And young men with the last name Winchester.

Spoilers!

I am seriously in need of some Battlestar Galactica scoop! Also, has Caprica aired and I missed it, or was it scrapped? — Robert
MICKEY: It took me several days to decode the 54 pages of 0s and 1s that my Sci Fi mole-bot beep-booped over to me, but the upshot is this: Though Sci Fi once planned to air Caprica in December, it's now on hold, pending the final episodes of Battlestar Galactica. It definitely won't see the light of day until after the BSG series finale ... but also maybe not at all. In the meantime, I'm assuming you've seen this BSG trailer, right?

Who at Bones can I complain to about the Hodgins-Angela break-up? I want them back together. I don't care for Roxie. — Joetta

MICKEY: I don't either, though I loved Nichole Hiltz as Mary McCormack's crazy sister Brandi on In Plain Sight. When TVGuide.com spoke to Michaela Conlin earlier this month, she hinted that Angela would be playing the field this season. So while Roxie won't be around forever, Angela won't be running back to Hodgins any time soon either.

I love Genevieve Cortese as Ruby in Supernatural, and have been a fan of hers for years. Is there anything that you left out of the interview you posted? — Laura

MATT: I usually am loathed to edit myself, but in this rare instance, yes, there are a few leftovers. For one, Genevieve feels that Wildfire "ended on such a great note, with Kris getting married," and she stays close with that whole gang (and was even en route to the wardrobe gal's wedding when we spoke). On the Supernatural front, she also let this slip: Wildfire cast mate Nicole Tubiola (aka Danielle) also tested for the role of Ruby. (Cue murmuring.)

I am a huge fan of ABC Family's Kyle XY. What can we expect in the new episodes starting Jan. 12? — Larry

MATT: Already we have Buzz'd that Latnok will reveal themselves to Kyle, and that our navel-less friend will get a new love interest by season's end. I now also offer you this: The Tragers get a new houseguest — and it's the last person Amanda wants living under the same roof as Kyle. Now excuse me as I go cue up the midseason premiere DVD....

"24" Scoop!

Latest from Korbi

What did you think of the 24 movie?
I thought it was awesome. Can't wait for January! -MattYeah, Redemption was pretty damn good. I enjoyed it. I was so afraid for the boys the whole time and Jack was all sexy, laying his life on the line for them... it's been too long. Plus, the new female President is kind of perfect, given current events. I like how she's all idealistic and altruistic. I spoke with 24 E.P. Jon Cassar about what we can expect come January. The following is an excerpt of the conversation which took place between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Season 7 will be different from every other season because there’s no CTU. We’re hearing the villain is not a terrorist, but someone trying to get back in power. Can you talk about that?
Well, basically what we’re doing is we’re playing with black water and these military firms that provide the government with power. That is one of the characters on the show, part of being on the wrong side of the law, let’s say. Not necessarily the bad guy for the year, but it’s part of what we’re dealing with... And then we've got the whole Africa storyline and that’s in the news right now... We also have a female president for the first time, so we’re going with that dynamic and what it means to have a First Gentleman. Cherry Jones is knocking it out of the park. She’s probably one of the best actresses I’ve ever worked with. She also has scenes with Kiefer, which is pretty exciting.

And Kiefer's got a female partner this year, no?
Yes! He’s also dealing with a female partner, so that’s a completely different dimension, but more so that it’s a female partner that's in the FBI. She's not someone who breaks the rules. So you have a rule breaker and rule enforcer working together. So how do you get information out of someone that you need the information out of? Do you go the torture route? Or do you go the legal route? We’re dealing with that subject matter virtually head-on, and it’s really interesting to see the dynamic between him and Annie Wersching who plays Renee Walker, the female agent.

What's To Come On Heroes....

Sources spill that One Tree Hill and West Wing alum Moira Kelly will be playing Abby Collins, a Homeland Security agent, in at least one episode of the Fugitives volume (the next chunk of episodes in the current third season). We happy about this? Do tell in the comments below.

In case you haven't heard, Dan Byrd of Aliens in America has a recurring role in Fugitives, and I can spill that his character Luke's power is microwaves that are strong enough fry people. Luke goes on the road with Sylar seeking adventure and excitement, but poor unlucky kid's probably just going to get de-brained for his trouble.

Despite what the promos for next week would have you think, Claire's going to make it. In fact, she gets well enough to her again pursue her goal of getting into the fight. In an upcoming episode, Claire becomes the centerpiece of a major showdown between good and evil.

Elle is not the death I'm talking about. (It's another newish blonde I'm sorry to see go.) But I did see a bloody photo today that has me deeply concerned. And I will join you in your anguish/sorrow if they kill Kristen Bell off this show!

SPOILERS!

Kerri in Irvine, Calif.: Any word of cast changes or deaths at Heroes? I'm still hoping a few of the characters will go far, far away!
One of them will die soon, and personally, it's not who I was hoping for! (This death also puts an end to a new love story as we know it.) However, I'm also hearing that the powers that be may be doing some more thorough house-cleaning among the Heroes cast, thanks to a little Lost-like catastrophe at the end of the current "Villains" volume. Last night at the Christmas Tree Lighting at the Grove (an outdoor shopping mecca here in L.A.), Greg Grunberg spilled to me: "There's a huge plane crash, and all of us are involved...I'll tell you this, it's not Oceanic 815, and I'm not in the pilot seat. It's a little different."

Tiffany in Dover, Del.: I'm over Huddy; I want to see Wilson and Cuddy together. What are the chances?
Not good, sorry! Lisa Edelstein tells me, "They do have a very intimate friendship, but I don't see it as anything more than that; maybe I'm wrong. Maybe one day they'll have me make out with Robert Sean Leonard. Eventually I'll just make out with everybody on the show." It's good to have goals, Lisa. It's good to have goals.

Bobby in Grenada, Miss.: Any chance John Glover will return to Smallville?
"I doubt it," John himself tells me, but he will return to Numb3rs to reprise his role as Samuel Kraft, and you can also catch him on Brothers & Sisters later this season, playing Henry, Saul's (Ron Rifkin) new lover. Glover says, "They work through their difficulties, but it's only an arc, so I don't think it can last for long." Theater-nerd note: Glover and Rifkin previously played lovers on stage in The Paris Letter, directed by Jon Robin Baitz, who happens to be the creator of Brothers & Sisters.

Amna K.: I have watched the "You Found Me" Lost video over a thousand times (no joke), and I came across a very shocking, exciting and revealing shot. At the exact point of 2:10 in the video, Jack's father, Christian, is seen running with the crowd from the fire!
Fankids, take a look for yourselves: Do you think this image is Christian? I'm inclined to say no, and not because Christian wouldn't need to run from flaming arrows, but because he totally would have tucked in his shirt first! In other news, a smartypants pointed out that ajira, as in Ajira Airways, that Easter egg from the latest Lost promo, means island in Hindu. (We have only 59 days left to wait for season five of Lost. Yay!)

Dani in Manchester, N.H.: More Heroes please!
More on that big ol' plane crash: I'm told Hunter (Zeljko Ivanek) captures many of our favorite Heroes and loads them onto a transport plane. (Think prisoners heading to Guantánamo Bay.) When the plane goes down, "You don't know who survives," says Grunny. When asked if Angela Petrelli would be joining their nondirty "mile-high club," Cristine Rose tells me, "I'm getting old, I don't see myself parachuting." So could that be how some of our Heroes survive? More importantly, did the plane go down because Desmond forgot to key in the numbers in the Hatch?

Mark in Long Island, N.Y.: Will we ever discover Daphne's secret on Heroes?
Yes we will! Tonight, Daphne (Brea Grant) heads home, and there she finds she has some unexpected guests: Matt, Hiro and Ando. Also, Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) heads to Haiti tonight to solve some more family mysteries, but he better be careful, because he's going to be kidnapped.

Mike in Atlanta: What's coming up on Chuck?
It's Thanksgiving for the gang, and the Awesomes are coming, which throws Ellie into a hysterical (emphasis on hysterical) cooking frenzy. In love-triangle news, we'll finally find out whether Jill (Jordana Brewster) and Bryce Larkin did the dirty...

Molly in Beaverton, Ore.: 24: Redemption was awesome last night! Gil Bellows was pretty evil; will we see him again?
There's a slight chance we'll see Frank Trammell again in the coming day. Gil himself tells us, "You'll probably see me again."

Delilah in Lexington, Ky.: Tell me what's in store for my beloved Winchester brothers!
In the upcoming Supernatural episode titled "Sex and Violence," there will be rainbows and unicorns. Nah, just kidding—there will be sex and violence. Both Sam and Dean make new friends, and one of the boys gets laid. Later Sam and Dean fight each other, but not over the girl—over a guy!

Alice in Flint, Mich.: I love me some Jax Teller. What can you spill about the Sons of Anarchy finale?
Clay is determined to save Bobby, and that means sending a team to rub out the teenage-girl witness to the port commissioner's murder, now that he knows it wasn't Opie who ratted—although, of course, it's all too late for poor Donna. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out our scoop on the finale from boss Kurt Sutter.
