LOST Scoop!

According to sources, all of these things will be said in the first six hours of Lost's new season (starting Feb. 2), and they are pivotal to the plot:

"Am I alive?"
"It turned out she did not want out."
"I wanted you to be able to go home."
"I was killed by an *** ******."
"I was supposed to die."
Who says what? And why?

I'll give you a clue. The first one is not a female, and is the same person as #5.

Hmmm....

LOST Scoop!

Is anyone ever really dead on Lost?

This has been the money Q since season one, and in case you didn't hear, there are quite a few "dead" former castmembers who will reappear for the highly anticipated final season: Dominic Monaghan, Rebecca Mader and Ian Somerhalder, just to name a few.

But here's something you don't know: A dead character also may "return" without us actually seeing the actor who plays him or her!

How?

Via the man with the Sixth Sense!

No, not Bruce Willis...

According to insiders, Miles (Ken Leung)—who, remember, gets messages from the dead and not full-on visions/visits à la Hurley (Jorge Garcia)—may carry a message from a dead character on Lost in the upcoming season.

So who is it?

I can't say who—sorry, too spoilery—but I can tell you that this dead person's message is important.

Got guesses?

Smallville Scoop!

Why is Zatanna kissing Clark in the latest ‘Smallville‘ promo? – Kassie
Pretty hot, amiright? I won’t get into the why of the “Warrior” kiss, but I can assure you that Lois does not take kindly to the sexy spellcaster (returning guest star Serinda Swan) swapping spit with her super man. What’s a gal to do, you ask? Well, in that same January 15 episode – which takes place at a Comic-Con-like convention – don’t be surprised to see Lois don a costume, à la her Blurry beau.

"24" Scoop!

Any early thoughts on the new season of ‘24‘? – David
As I raved on Facebook, there’s nary a clinker in the first four hours as Season 8 gets off to a solid start. That said, Mykelti Williamson’s Brian Hastings has got to be one of the most dense CTU directors in ‘24′ history; I want to punch the guy. Also, I had to suppress a snort over Jack’s 10-minute drive from Manhattan to Queens. But CTU analyst Dana Walsh (played by ‘Battlestar Galactica’ alum Katee Sackhoff) is poised to have one of the “better” B-stories in a while, revolving around a creeptastic ex-beau.

True Blood Interview!

Alcide is about to put a major kink in True Blood’s polarizing Eric/Sookie/Bill triangle. At least that’s the word from the werewolf’s portrayer, Joe Manganiello, who makes a strong case for an Alcide/Sookie pairing in part 2 of our exclusive Q&A. (You can read Part 1 here.) The 33-year-old actor also weighs in on the length of his commitment to the show and why he isn’t afraid of those crazy Team Bill and Team Eric fans.

Will your Alcide be different from the Alcide in the books?
JOE MANGANIELLO: Alan Ball and I had a conversation about that at one of my auditions. I think it’s up in the air. I know that, at least initially, fans of the book will be pleased with my character.

What’s your take on Alcide?
MANGANIELLO: He’s really big. He’s giant. When Sookie first meets him, she opens the door and looks up, and then has to look up some more. So there’s this giant presence standing in the doorway with dark hair and dark features. He’s strong and protective. He comes from a construction background; his father is in the construction business. He’s heroic and romantic. I don’t think it’s a secret that he has a broken heart when he shows up. He had a really rough go of this relationship with Debbie Pelt, so there’s a lot of friction there. Debbie’s doing a lot of things to get back at Alcide.

How long are you committed to the show for?
MANGANIELLO: Right now we’ve just talked about this season.

What can Alcide offer Sookie that Bill and Eric can’t?
MANGANIELLO: Warm flesh and blood. That’s the neat thing about my character: Although he’s not entirely human, he is flesh and blood. He has a lifespan. In the books he hugs Sookie and she feels his skin and it’s just radiating heat. So I think the fact that he has some kind of sun burnt heat-radiating skin is just completely different. It’s [similar to when] she met Bill and what a relief it was for her to not to be able to hear his thoughts.

Are you ready to be thrust into the Eric/Sookie/Bill fan frenzy?
MANGANIELLO: For me it’s fun. I could see how if I was a 100-pound Hollywood actress it would probably be pretty scary, but I’m a big guy, so people don’t necessarily scare me in that way. With that said, I’ve had to go to the police a couple of times for stalkers.

Really?
MANGANIELLO: They were really big… I don’t know how I want to describe it but they were guys. I’ve had two guy stalkers that I’ve had to go to the cops about. But other than that I think it’s a blast. It’s so fun to get caught up in that. It’s so fun to have fans care that much. It’s that whole Comic-Con, fanboy crowd. I love that. I started my career in Spider-Man, so I’m completely familiar with them and I love that kind of stuff. And you hear about love triangles all of the time, it’s going to be interesting to see how the love square works out.

LOST Scoop!

According to my spies, there will be at least a few answers very early on to the questions we fans have been asking. And one such Q involves the woman you see above—Ilana (Zuleikha Robinson), who was promoted to series regular this year—and those other Others who crashed on the island from Ajira Flight 316...

Who are they? Why are they on the island? And what is their mission?

Here's what I can tell you...

One of the following things is true regarding Ilana and her Ajira posse:

-They were sent by Charles Widmore to kill Ben.
-They were sent by the Man in Black (Jacob's nemesis) to find the island's time travel mechanism and destroy it.
-They were sent to protect Jacob.
-They were sent to revive John Locke.
-Ilana is future Sayid in drag.

LOST Interview!

He’s been shot, repeatedly beaten to bloody hell, circled by a hungry shark, chased by a Smoke Monster, electrocuted and locked in a polar-bear cage with only decades-old fish biscuits for sustenance. But James “Sawyer” Ford’s greatest adversary has long been Josh Holloway, who decreed early on that his wily hillbilly deserved to die as karmic penance for years spent conning the innocent.

But with just four months left of filming on the final season of Lost, the 40-year-old actor has had a change of heart. He’s lobbying for a stay of execution. “After six years, I love this character—he’s a living, breathing part of me,” says Holloway. “And I think he deserves a second chance to rectify some things he’s done. It would be a shame if he were not given that opportunity. I’d feel cheated.”

This newfound compassion sprang to life sometime between the shooting of last season’s explosive finale, in which Sawyer failed to save his sweetheart, Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell), and the first few episodes of the coming season, which finds Sawyer wrestling with deep guilt.

Still, whatever fate the island gods (aka exec producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) bestow on Sawyer, come May 2010, Holloway will be ready to slip out of those soiled denims, cut off that long hair and move back to Los Angeles to pursue film roles. “By then, Sawyer’s story will have been told,” says Holloway. “My journey has been full.”

Strolling past a beach not far from his home in Oahu, Holloway says he’s not alone in his feelings of satisfaction and gratitude. With the groundbreaking series’ end nearing, he’s noticed the cast rediscovering a profound appreciation for the show and one another. “It’s just been a pleasure on set this year,” he says. “When we see each other, there’s this joy that’s lovely.”

“It feels like high school’s going to end, and we’re getting wistful,” agrees costar Terry O’Quinn (Locke). “There’s a sweetness to these days.”

“Everyone has a sense of last moments,” echoes Michael Emerson (Ben). “Maybe this will be the last scene we shoot at this old location…or maybe this is the last time I’ll talk to this particular character.”

But it hasn’t always been like this. Holloway concedes that as the seasons wore on, dips in camaraderie could be seen as actors buried their heads in both iPhones and feature-film scripts. Now there’s “silly conversations” with Emerson, Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Ken Leung (Miles), impromptu jazz sessions with O’Quinn, Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) and Naveen Andrews (Sayid). And Yunjin Kim (Sun) says she, Jeff Fahey (Lapidus) and Leung have even taken Pilates classes together, “as an excuse to hang out off set.”

“There is an energy here now that is reminiscent of the first year, which was so magical,” says Holloway.

Back then, Holloway never could’ve envisioned the bizarre turns the trippy series would take, including time travel, conversations with the undead and the discovery of an ominous giant four-toed statue. Yet he acknowledges the roller-coaster plot brought out some of Sawyer’s finest moments. His favorite: when Sawyer and Kate (Evangeline Lilly) were imprisoned face-to-face in the Others’ cages in Season 3. His least: Sawyer’s recurring con of sleeping with women, taking their cash and skipping town. “It didn’t feel real, and I always felt stupid doing it,” he says.

More recently, he objected to his character’s content life with Juliet, which turned Sawyer into somewhat of a softie. “I rejected it when I first got the scripts. I was like, ‘C’mon, he’s a nice guy now? Head of security? What bulls--t.’ It was scary for me. I didn’t want to lose his edge.”

Holloway needn’t worry. Come February, he—and fans—can expect a reemergence of the sorely missed badass Sawyer. But not before tying up the Juliet story line. Mitchell, who’s moved on to star in V, recently returned to Hawaii to shoot some top-secret scenes.

“It was pretty poignant and important to the setup of things people will discover later on,” says Holloway. “We had this amazing experience, and then she was gone again.”

Similar reunions were recently enjoyed with other long-gone costars. Ian Somerhalder (Boone), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) and Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) have all returned to film a few scenes. And Emilie de Ravin’s Claire will be back full-time this season.

But the reunion many fans are dying to see is Sawyer and Kate. In last season’s ender, the two shared a longing glance, witnessed by an intuitive (and heartbroken) Juliet, who realized there’s still major chemistry brewing. Still, in the aftermath of Juliet’s demise, Holloway says Sawyer’s agony makes it “not possible for him to be with Kate. Right now, he doesn’t give a f--- about life…or anyone in it. He’s destroyed inside. There’s an undeniable love for Kate, but everything inside of him is fighting not to go there.”

Holloway’s not even sure he could swallow a happily-ever-after conclusion for Sawyer and Kate, whom he describes as two lone wolves—passing ships in the night. “I think she would have a happier life with Jack,” he admits. “More so than with Sawyer.” Kim, whose Sun remains separated from husband Jin this season, disagrees: “I think Kate’s suited for Sawyer.”

At this point, Holloway can guarantee only one happy ending: his own. “It’s been an honor and a pleasure to take this journey with this group of people and with this caliber of writing,” he says. “It’s priceless what it’s done for me as an artist and a human being. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”

LOST Scoop!

"24" Scoop!

As you prepare to embark on your eighth action-packed day, TVGuide.com thought it wise — after looking into your future (i.e. the first four episodes of 24's Season 8) — to pass on a little advice.

1. Remember to cherish your friends: Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) has put her job — and sometimes her life — on the line for you. Though you'd love to hightail it back to Los Angeles, there are more pressing matters in New York.

2. Remember that New York is a world capital: with world issues. These 24 hours will be unlike anything you've seen before. The threat is on a much bigger level, involving a nuclear superpower in one of the most volatile places in the world.

3. Remember that you're an oldie: Sorry, Jack, but this is a new CTU and not everyone knows you like we do. You may not be able to get away with the same tomfoolery you used to. Tread lightly.

4. Remember that no one can be trusted: Keep that in mind while interacting with the new kids. Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson), the head honcho at the New York CTU base, may not be on your side. And he's not always the brightest crayon in the box, so watch your back.

5. Remember that not everyone is a bad guy: Just because someone gets busted doesn't mean he — or she — is guilty. So even when you think you've finished your mission, keep your head in the game.

6. Remember that being good on the job doesn't make you good at everyday life: While Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff) may know more than Chloe the ins and outs of CTU's New York office, she isn't as perfect as she seems. We do like her soon-to-be hubby, Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) — and we think you will, too.

7. Remember that Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) went through a terrible ordeal last time around: We know you're worried about her and you're trying to help her, but seriously, keep a closer eye on Renee. By hour four, you'll regret agreeing to let her back in the field.

8. Remember that there's more than meets the eye: You've dealt with spies, traitors and moles, so this day should be a piece of cake for you...or not. Be especially mindful of this when it comes to President Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor).

LOST Scoop!

For a good five seasons now, Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) has been one of the most spine-tingling, blood-curdling "bad guys" on television and certainly the most creeptastic Other on ABC's Lost.

But that's about to change in the upcoming final season, starting Feb. 2, because there's a new Baddie on Lost who will make Ben Linus look more like the wimpy Peanuts character with whom he shares a name.

So who is this terrifying and awesome new Big Bad? What has he done and how will you see him?

As our 12 Days of Lost-mas—in which we stuff your stockings with spoilery goodies—continues, here are four true things I can tell you about the New Big Bad.

He:

-Killed **h*. (Killed Echo)
-Killed ***o*. (Killed Jacob ????)
-Is *h* **o** *****e*. (Is the smoke monster)
-Wants to "g* **m*." (Wants to go home)

Again, this time, all four of these things are true. Your job is to decifer the missing letters...

Do you have any new scoop on Kristin Kreuk’s ‘Chuck‘ character? – Zachary via Twitter
Only that the ‘Smallville’ alumna made a “super” impression on both Chuck Bartowski and the ‘Chuck’ bosses. Asked to detail what draws his alter ego to brunette beauty Hannah, Zachary Levi told me, “They’re both tech geeks. They’re both into that world where they know how to reboot servers off of backup script.” Plus, Zach had to add, “She’s smoking hot.” Kreuk filmed three episodes, starting with this season’s fifth, “and I believe there’s talk of maybe getting her back,” Zach said.

I’m excited for ‘Leverage‘ to return, but are we ever going to see Sophie again? Or is Jeri Ryan her full-time replacement? – Chris
Ryan is only stepping in as master grifter for these next six episodes (starting January 13), while Gina Bellman wraps up her maternity leave. Then it’ll be back to shady business as usual for Nate’s original crew. “Gina is doing great and she’s very excited to get back into the show,” Timothy Hutton says of the new mom. “We’re all meeting up at the end of February” to start work on Season 3.

Any ‘Supernatural‘ scoop? The annual “hellatus” is killing me! – Rosa
This is kinda cool: TNT, which recently nabbed syndication rights to the show, has announced a January 4 premiere date, beginning with the series pilot. Episodes will unspool weekdays at 10 am EST. Also on tap at TNT is a marathon of classic Winchester capers. On February 15, starting at 9 am, you’ll get “Tall Tales,” “Hollywood Babylon,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Bad Day at Black Rock,” “Mystery Spot” (love that one), “Monster Movie,” “Yellow Fever,” “Criss Angel is a Douchebag” (best title ever), “After School Special” and “The Monster at the End of This Book.”

Has anybody confirmed this ‘Vampire Diaries’ casting rumor with The CW or Brandon Quinn himself? – cestwhat via Twitter
Yep, Quinn (’Big Wolf on Campus’) will be appearing in the next new episode, “Bloodline,” airing January 21 – and only that episode. (Meaning he’s stopping by for a “bite”?) That’s the same episode in which we meet witchy woman Bree (played by Whedonverse alum Gina Torres) and Alaric’s wife, Isobel (’The L Word’s’ Mia Kirshner).

Question: Thanks for all the True Blood casting news! Do you have any other scoop on season 3? –JKH
Ausiello: It’s happening: Lafayette is getting a boyfriend! A True insider tells me that Alan Ball is quietly searching for a sexy Latino actor in his 30s to play a lust interest for everyone’s favorite same-gender-lovin’ blood dealer. (Over the summer, Ball confirmed that viewers would see a more “vulnerable” Lafayette in season 3.) Got casting tips? Head to the comments! Here’s one to get you started: Um, Adam Rodriguez, hello.

Question: I was wondering if Zack was going to show up in Bones‘ 100th episode. –Cole
Ausiello: Funny, I was wondering the same thing. So I did some digging and here’s what I turned up: If the scheduling can be worked out, yes, Eric Millegan will appear in the 100th episode. But that’s a big if. (Actually, it’s more of a medium if.)

Question: Got any new Chuck scoop for Chuckmas? –Clauds
Ausiello: I just watched the first three episodes and they’re — no surprise here — aces. The first hour in particular is top-to-bottom sensational. Here are some random spoilery highlights, broken down by episode:

Episode 1 (Jan. 10 @ 9 p.m. ET)
* A recurring character dies.
* We learn that a recurring character is a closeted Wilson Phillips fan.
* The first two items may be connected.
* The action picks up *** months later.
* Shockingly, there’s not a Subway 6-inch in sight.

Episode 2 (Jan. 10 @ 10 p.m. ET)
* Sarah’s spy buddy Carina returns.
* We catch a rare glimpse of Morgan’s huge **e**e* collection.
* Morgan has *e**** **t********!
* Shockingly, there’s not a Subway 6-inch in sight.

Episode 3 (Jan. 11 @ 8 p.m. ET)
* Big episode for Ryan McPartlin’s Awesome.
* An even bigger episode for Ryan McPartlin’s awesome chest, abs, and biceps.
* Shockingly, there’s not a Subway 6-inch in sight.

Question: Any news about Jennifer Morrison returning to House? –@Sarrie5
Ausiello: I don’t see it happening, unfortunately. Not only will she be tied up on Broadway until at least the spring, but a source tells me that Morrison has been taking pilot meetings. I think it might be time to — don’t pistol-whip the messenger! — move on.

Question: Got any scoop on who Brandon Quinn is playing in Vampire Diaries‘ Jan. 21 episode? –Seth
Ausiello: According to Diaries boss Kevin Williamson, “He’s a vengeful guy with a score to settle with Damon.”

Question: All I want for Christmas is some Burn Notice scoop. Can you help me out? I’ve been a really good girl. –TJ
Ausiello: That’s a lie. According to my notes, you’ve been an absolute menace. Lucky for you I’m grading on a curve this year: A familiar face returns in the season 3 finale (airing March 4), and Michael is forced to make a choice that, per my source, puts him “in the most dangerous situation” he’s ever been in.

Question: I’m dying to find out what song Jane Lynch will be singing on Glee (Ask Ausiello 12/16). Can I please have a hint?
Ausiello: You can have two: 1. Gene Kelly and 2. Fred Astaire.

Question: When you say 24’s Renee has morphed into a female version of Dexter, what exactly do you mean? –Stefanie
Ausiello: She gets off on hurting bad people.

Question: What else can you tell me about the date between Beckett and Men in Trees‘ Scott Elrod on Castle. Does it go well? –Katie
Ausiello: Nope, it’s pretty much a disaster. Beckett ends up running into Castle, who just so happens to be on a date at the same restaurant. And the fact that his date was recently named one of New York’s most eligible bachelorettes only adds to the tension.

Question: Can you throw a Big Love spoiler my way? –Charlotte
Ausiello: Matthew Humphries (a.k.a. Supernatural’s Dixon from 2007’s “Fresh Blood”) has been cast as Ron Reed, the new face of the religious right. The org he works for is anti-gaming, so it’s safe to say he’ll do some head-butting with Bill.

Question: Any word on whether the amazing Tina Majorino will be reprising her role as Heather on Big Love this season? Surely they can’t just leave her storyline hanging like that. –Sophie
Ausiello: She returns in the second episode when bride-to-be Sarah asks her estranged BFF an important question. But what she asks her isn’t nearly as memorable as where she asks it. (Hint: It’s fast and will give you food for thought.)

LOST Scoop!

One of these is true, the other is false:

We find out John Locke is related to C*****s *id**re and J*** ***ph*** in a way you would never ever expect—yes, "related" as in by blood!

Terry O'Quinn does something bat-poop insane involving a character we have known since the very first episode of Lost's first season, then says: "I'm sorry you had to see me like that."

Which one is right?

SPOILERS!

Sam in New York City: How about some scoop on what is going to happen to Quinn and baby drizzle in Glee's back nine? Fans are praying that Quinn ends up living with Rachel, à la Brooke/Sam from Popular (another Ryan Murphy creation.) We want more Quichel!
First of all, I can tell you that even on the happiest of all days (Glee sweeping the Globes noms), on which I brought them champagne and hung out for hours, I could not get anyone (castmember nor producer) to utter so much as a peep as to what will happen with Quinn, the baby and the love triangle, er, rectangle, er, rhombus. (What is it anyway?) Steel traps those people! However, here's a cute little tidbit: Lea Michele (Rachel) and Dianna Agron (Quinn) are close friends in real life who lived together. So your hope may not be far off! Rachel's two dads have to be more supportive and open-minded than Quinn's whacked-out parentals, right? (BTW, I sorta hate the name "Quichel," though it does make me crave a nice egg soufflé. Mmmm?)

Davis in San Louis Obispo, Calif.: Thanks to Julie Benz for the awesome interview and the five-step program. It helped, but I'm still a mess over Rita. Do you think they'll really jump forward in time? Will we see an older Harrison?
As Julie said, she knows it's one option, but of course, all bets are off now that there's a new show runner onboard. Here's one crazy thing about Harrison, though: I'm told "he" was actually played by twin babies, one a boy and one a girl. A source tells me the sweet little girl baby has serious separation anxiety and will cry every time they take her away from her mother, so it was the girl baby who was used for that last, harrowing scene, which I personally still cannot get over.

Morris in Rome: On Dexter, how come no one has mentioned that Batista saw Trinity talking to Dexter inside the police headquarters? Won't he put two and two together?
Eeesh. If he does, this cannot bode well for Angel, given that everyone in the cast is talking about Dexter "embracing his Dark Passenger" for the new season.

Helena in Washington: What about Quinn on Dexter? It sure seems like he is sniffing around Dexter a lot. Do you think he'll find out about Dexter next season? Or hook up with Deb?
Departing (wah!) show runner Clyde Phillips tells us: "I think that there's fuel for that fire and he's got a huge curiosity about Dexter. I think his curiosity is piqued even beyond his own knowledge, kind of like Doakes had a big suspicion. Masuka let something slip about Dexter's ex-girlfriend Lyla, and he referred to her as the English muffin, Quinn is thinking, things don't add up. He's watching closely." As for any potential hookup with Quinn and Deb: "It' hasn't been discussed for the future."

Alisa: Your Lost scoop has been really good lately, and I was hoping that you could answer one question. In the "Incident," Juliet holds her stomach when talking to Bernard as if she were pregnant. Anyway Juliet could be pregnant with Sawyer's baby?
I think you're mistaking me for another site. I've been pretty mum on Lost (and let me tell you, this gag is messing up my lip gloss!), but I'm trying to make up for it a smidgen with The 12 Days of Lostmas. That said, there is no way that Juliet is pregnant now. You have my word.

Yasmine: I'm obsessed with Sue Sylvester on Glee! Thanks for the interview with Jane Lynch. She seems awesome in person, too. Did you get any scoop on what will happen after she returns from her suspension?
"Sue Sylvester does get humbled from time to time, and she will get humbled in the next nine episodes," Jane told me. Also, it sounds like we're gonna see more of her musical side: "I will be doing a little singing and a little dancing," she teased. Jane also mentioned that there are lines sometimes that she won't say. One of them involved skinning a cat. "I have cats!" she said. Heee.

Chen in Israel: Seems like the writers are listening and are realizing people find Puck/Rachel more interesting than Puck/Quinn and Finn/Rachel. Now can we do something about the fact the original club members like Artie and Tina never get any screen time? We haven't seen what happened to them after their date.
We will definitely see more Artie and Tina. I have it on good authority!

Mose in Idaho: What's the word on Supernatural? Thanks for all the scoop last week.
No prob. I'm hearing that Sam and Dean will die and go to heaven. Yes, you heard me right. We will see heaven! (Which is funny 'cause I always assumed heaven would look a lot like Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.)

Joel in Burbank, Calif.: You barely mentioned Jeffster in your Chuck preview this week. I want some Jeffster!
You want more details on the rockingest band of all time? You got it! Jeff and Lester are both back in action, both as individuals and in musician form. Show runner Josh Schwartz tells us: "The Buy More has a fight club storyline where Lester really goes bananas. And obviously, you can expect and look forward to the return of Jeffster." In fact, probably more Lester than you'd ever want to know. "I promise this, we will see Lester's bedroom," says Josh. And Chris Fedak gives us the dirty deets: "You will see what Lester sleeps in, his pj's—and it involves feet." (Note to Chuck costumers: Where do you get those pj's?! My ginormously tall 8-month-old is already too big for most footed pj's, and he's still shorter than Lester...by a hair.)

Harry in Boston: Cannot wait for Chuck. Scoop please!
There's something going on beneath the Home Theater Room at the Buy More, and it is not just mental—it is governmental! (I'm hearing of a new secret passage from inside there.) Also, Chuck and Kristen Kreuk will be spotted there playing some serious tonsil hockey, i.e. "making out like teenagers," according to my spy. Sorry, Chuck and Sarah fans. But the good news is that Kristen's character is not what she seems, so like Jill before her, she cannot be long for Chuck's world.

Being Human Preview!

LOST Set Video!

With Jin & Mikhail!

LOST Scoop!

Maggie Grace's (Shannon) absence from the beginning of the new season will be explained by a significant change to Shannon and Boone's (Ian Somerhalder) backstory.

Sawyer (Josh Holloway) will smooch someone who is either Kate (Evangeline Lilly) or Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell), and it will happen within the first four hours of the new season.

(Reminder: Maggie was the Lostie I referred to earlier in a blind item as a "holdout," who was busy shooting back-to-back movies when she was first offered a return to Lost. She may appear later in the season.)

Spartacus Renewed!

Starz must be feeling mighty confident about its new series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The pay cabler has renewed the big budget action adventure for a second season — a whole month before the premiere of season 1. The 13-episode second season will begin production early next year.

In honor of the early pickup, I present you with this exclusive (and totally NSFW) first look image from season 1, debuting Jan. 21…

More Vampire Diaries Casting Scoop!

Here’s proof that the TV biz hasn’t completely closed up shop for the holidays: L Word and 24 alum Mia Kirshner has just inked a deal to join the cast of The Vampire Diairies on a recurring basis, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Kirshner will be playing the role of Isobel, the sweet-yet-dangerous wife of Matt Davis’ history teacher, Alaric.

The actress will make her debut in the Jan. 21 episode, which, come to think of it, has already been shot. How will VD boss Kevin Williamson pull that one off? “Ever hear of an 11th hour reshoot,” sniffs an insider. “That’s what they’re doing.” There’s no reason to be nasty about it.
