True Blood TV Guide Scans!

Fringe TV Guide Scans!

SPOILERS!!!!!

I've heard a crazy Heroes rumor that Adam and Niki are related. Is that true? — Stacie
Matt: It's certainly crazy! Very crazy! And untrue.

With the impending House-Cuddy romance looming, is there anything for the many loyal House-Cameron fans to look forward to during this dreary time? — Teresa
Mickey: Turn that frown upside-down, Teresa! It's true that when House returns, all the death and betrayal we saw in the finale will definitely make for a few dark days. But I've been assured that Cameron's moment in the sun is coming... just not necessarily at House's side.

Are we going to see more of Smallville's Oliver Queen with Lois? – Audrey
Matt: This is the point in Sprockets where I start parceling out sound bites from my in-depth Q&A with Erica Durance. Asked for a status report on Lo and the one also known as Green Arrow, she said, "Lois does have to confront her breakup with Oliver, and they do have a few storylines together, but from what I've seen they're not getting back together in the near future." You can track down a smidgen more dish from Durance in this week's Mega Minute. The full Q&A comes next week, maybe. (Sorry, I'm still reeling from this one reveal she let slip....)

What's up with Battlestar Galactica? What can we expect in the final episodes? Everyone has gone silent. — Robin
Mickey: I know, right? It's like someone yelled "Jump!" but you were busy wondering why the papers have no corners so you missed the coordinates and now you are the only starship that has been left behind. I'm with you, Robin, sir. (See what I did there?)

Robin Hood Scoop!

"Lara Pulver has done everything from kicking her heels up to kicking butt on stage, and now she's about to kick some shins, among other things, on TV. The actress has been through a fight training course (including how to handle a lion!) and swordplay for her role as Isabella, sister of Guy of Gisborne, in the third series of the BBC action drama Robin Hood, which has just started filming in Budapest.

Lara will emerge as the major female lead when Robin Hood screens in the New Year. The Isabella role is no girlie damsel-in-distress sort of part. She'll be called upon to make life extremely un-merrie for Robin and his men in green tights. Lara, who won plaudits for her performance in the musical Parade at the Donmar last year, was also in A Chorus Line at the Sheffield Crucible and several other theatre productions, but I was surprised to learn Robin Hood marks her first TV drama.

She'll be on location in Hungary with stars Jonas Armstrong and Richard Armitage for several months. "

SPOILERS!

Question: What's the latest on Elisha Cuthbert returning to 24? -- Dominic

Ausiello: Ladies and gentleman, we've got a signed contract! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Cuthbert has inked a deal to reprise her role as Jack's lightning rod of an offspring for a season-ending arc that will no doubt trigger a new round of wholly outdated and painfully unfunny cougar jokes. Per my 24 mole, Kim will return minus her old beau (sorry, C. Thomas Howell) and plus a child! That's right, Kim's got a little puma all her own!

Question: Do you have any scoop on Bones? -- Claire

Ausiello: Tonight's two-hour UK-based season premiere is, in a word, busy. Not only is a notable character whacked, but there's a little partner swappage, a not-so-little breakup, and this shocking reveal from Booth: He tends to laugh during sex. Oh, and special guest star Indira Varma (Rome) makes a strong case for deserving her very own TV series.

Question: My arthritis is acting up. Take pity on me and give me some Bones scoop. -- Holly

Ausiello: Oh, I get it. Arthritis. Bones. Good one. Hey, if you're at all interested, Ausiello TV is looking to hire some new comedy writers. (Didja think the show wrote itself?) Anywhoo, back to your Q, next week's States-based Bones ep ends with what I'm told is Booth and Brennan's most revealing therapy session with Doc Sweets yet. (And if by chance you were serious about the arthritis thing, here's my conscience-clearing tip for you.) One more thing about Bones before you go: If you like the David Boreanaz, then you're going to love his answers to Mandi Bierly's 17 pop culture questions.

Question: Is it true that Chuck has received a full season order from NBC? Please don't leave this until Ask Ausiello. It deserves a blog post of its own! -- Melanie

Ausiello: You make AA sound like some kind of sloppy seconds dumping ground. Take it back this instant! Or don't. Sticks and stones, you know? Anyway, yes, NBC gave Chuck the go-ahead for a full season before a single episode even aired, which pretty much confirms what I had been hearing all summer: NBC feels the show is on the verge of breaking out in a BIG way. Creatively, the network feels Chuck has hit its stride, and a new round of testing seems to back that up. "The entire cast scores high," whispers a Peacock source. "And that's not a common thing. Spirits are very high on that set right now." Couldn't happen to a nicer group of people.

Question: I've heard rumors that Wilson and Cameron are hooking up in the first two episodes of House this season. Is this true? -- Lisa

Ausiello: Um, hello! I started those rumors. Last week. In Ask Ausiello. Am I the only one paying attention to this frakkin' column?! (And for the record, I never said they hooked up.)

Question: I just watched the first five episodes of True Blood. I loved it. Rich characters, a thoughtful story, and, well, vampires! I suggest you drop everything and do the same. -- Dave

Ausiello: Would you believe I did exactly that over the long holiday weekend? After my hit-and-run slam in last week's AA, I decided I should probably form an opinion based on more than just one out-of-context scene. So I popped in my (heavily encoded) HBO screener and watched the first five episodes. Straight through. Stopping only for bathroom and snack breaks. In other words, damn thing hooked me! Is it perfect? Far from it. Alan Ball drives the vampires-are-like-gay-people parallel home with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. My colleague Ken Tucker put it best in this week's EW when he said "Ball has never seen a comic-dramatic premise he can't flatten with leaden metaphors." (Truthfully, I have no idea what the heck that means, but it sounds wicked smaht.) But as a purely escapist piece of entertainment fluff? I kind of loved it.

Bones Scoop!

"Sure, he was memorably nabbed in the season finale for being, well, the apprentice of a serial killer. But don't scratch Zack from the Jeffersonian's team of crime solvers just yet. As series creator Hart Hanson told me a while back, Eric Millegan will continue to appear on Fox's Bones, even though his alter ego is behind bars. As David Boreanaz tells TVGuide.com, "Zack's not really going anywhere. We will see him again throughout Season 4, in certain circumstances."

For example, Boreanaz says, "We just shot an episode where [Zack is let out] and actually helps us solve something — and then I have to go put him back in prison, which was pretty funny. I'm sure some people are upset about [him being revealed as the Gormogon's assistant], but.... where Zack is right now benefits the show in some ways."Bones kicks off Season 4 Wednesday at 8 pm/ET, with a two-hour jaunt to the U.K. Watch for Zack to first resurface in a late-September episode." — Matt Mitovich

Sheppard is a homicide detective, but the murderer he has to hunt down now is unlike anyone -- or any thing -- he has ever seen.Sheppard tries to dodge a news reporter when he arrives at the crime scene. The reporter suggests that, if this victim is like the others, the city may have a serial killer on its hands. The local authorities have already arrived, and show Sheppard the body: it looks as if the man had the life sucked out of him.

At Detective Sheppard's office, Captain Lopez introduces him to someone who will aid him in his investigation: Agent Woolsey of the F.B.I.Elsewhere, in a cheap motel, a very ill, middle-aged businessman throws up. To make life worse, his neighbor is blaring heavy metal music. The man collects himself and goes over to pound on the door. He's shocked by what he sees when the door opens.
