Blood Ties Emergency!

Looks like Lifetime's "Blood Ties" will be next up on the chopping block to follow other great shows gone to dust like The Dresden Files and the near fatality of Jericho. So get out your fandomness and start petitioning to Lifetime for a continuation of the vampire detective series.

Did you read about the cancellation in an article? Or on another site? I haven't read anything about Blood Ties in general but I keep hearing that a lot of shows that would've gotten the ax are being spared because of the writers' strike. In Entertainment Weekly, they commented that a lot of under performing shows would see another season because it's easier to order new scripts (once the strike is over) for a show that is already in existence then to launch a whole new show in a short period of time (especially if the strike goes into 2008).

Hey ms.

I read an article or two stating the probability of it being picked up was scarce (except for possibly in Canada it could be revived) so I just thought it was a good idea to campaign early rather than too late right!

Supernatural did a similar thing last season when pickup was teetering on a negative and all went well.

I could try to dig up the articles where they stated Lifetimes uncertainty about Blood Ties, but I just cant see how it would be anything except detrimental to Lifetime if they got rid of it.

And your right, perhaps the writers strike will/has affected the conclusion of whats to come for Blood Ties, hopefully the damn strike will end soon and everything can be sorted out for the better.(I think Bionic Woman is also a show waiting on the resolution).
