Major Spoiler:True Blood Killer Revealed!

So alot of people have been searching for the answer to the question on all the True Blood fan's minds: Who is the killer? Well, for all of those who haven't read the books, I'm going to post the answer here. Mind you, the books and the show have quite a few distinct differences, alot actually, so this could always change.

I think you need to make people click on the link to be spoiled.

Other than that, I'm so glad you posted this! I read all the books and it looks like they are going to stick with Rene as the killer. The guy that attacked Sookie in Merlotte's had on a black shirt and Rene was the only one wearing black. I'm hoping it is him even though the guy playing Rene is awesome. I don't want them to deviate TOO much from the awesomeness that is the books.

MrsB108 said...

Never mind! I figured it out!

MrsB108 said...

So anyways yeah for a moment there when she was fleeing the killer in the kitchen, I thought they were even going to show his face.

What do you think of all the differences so far from the books? Tara's front and center story, Jason and his wackjob girlfriend, etc?

I am conflicted about the Tara and Jason changes. For Jason, I think they've remained pretty true to his nature, but I'm concerned that his new storyline is going to somehow screw up Sookie's and veer the story away from the books. His wackjob girlfriend is interesting. Tara's storyline with the demons is just stupid. She's an interesting character without the demon stuff. It seems contrived. I wish they'd do more with her that didn't center around her saying "I'm so [effed] up" at least twice per episode.

Also, did Bill's punishment for killing Longshadow match the punishment in the books? I can't remember that part. Did he turn or kill a girl in the book?

MrsB108 said...

I know I have trouble remembering stuff too and I thought Eric killed Longshadow? Hell, I don't know anymore.

Yeah I wonder why they added all the demon stuff in??? I mean its allright but its not like a mega powerful tale to be told season one right?

So you think they'll still kill that person who dies at the beginning of book two? I think so.

MrsB108 said...

But the Magistrate scene was very cool I thought.

Anonymous said...

I cannot remember. I've got to pull out the books and figure it out. I heard that the person killed in book two is going to die in the series as well. Don't know if it will really happen, though.

Did you see the woman that Tara almost hit with her car? That was the Maenid (or however you spell it) that Sam hooked up with in one of the books!

The Magistrate scene was cool, but I so hope that Bill didn't turn that girl. It would change the dynamics for him to have "offspring" in the show.

I agree with you totally on the demon stuff. Totally unnecessary.

Anonymous said...

Yeah I bet they will kill that person right off the bat next season. Hey did you see one of the posts today said season two will probably start airing in June 2009? Not too bad.

Yup! Michaell Forbes is the Maenad with her pig lol Now trying to remember, tell me if this is accurate: She poisons Sookie and the vamps all suck the poison out of her right?

I think that girl Bill was supposed to turn is going to be a regular next season so I think he will have turned her and that will be one of those original storylines they add in. But I could be wrong.

So which ship do you support on the show, if any?

MrsB

Anonymous said...

I believe you are correct about the poison. I had totally forgotten about that!

I had not heard about June 2009. That's better than some cable series that wait a year and a half to come back.

I hate it that the girl is going to be a regular. Ick.

Even though I know how Sookie and Bill end up in the books, I still support them. They are so cute and hot together. I almost like Sam and Tara, but Sam's so lovesick for Sookie, that I can't root for them too much.

I like Jason's infatuation with his wackjob g/f, but she's gotta go.

I wish they'd put more Pam in the show!

How about you?

Anonymous said...

Yup June is definitely better than how long others shows have had to wait, by far.

I just started Book 4 yesterday, the one about Eric losing his memory or whatever. So far, I think I ship Sookie/Eric but I keep changing my mind.

I gotta say though, I think the casting they did for this show is top notch. Did you see the pilot with the "other" Tara?

How sick was the scene where wackjob staked that vamp with the freaking fence post, eh?

MrsB

Ps - What's your name?

Anonymous said...

I'm Shelley. Nice to meet you!

I love Eric/Sookie in Book 4. It's so very good. That's a good one. I do like Eric and Sookie in the later books, but she still hasn't found "the one" in my opinion.

I did not see original Tara! Was she awful? I love that they made this Tara African American and more involved with the plot, even if her "I'm effed up" schtick gets old.

The cast really rocks. I wasn't sure I'd like the actor who plays Eric because I always saw Eric as being "bigger" - more muscular and physically domineering, but I think he's doing a good job. I wish they'd give Pam more lines. She's so funny in the book and I love the irony that she looks like a soccer mom but is a killer. Awesome. I told my husband, who hasn't read the books, that I'm overall very pleased with the way the cast matches up to the physical description of the characters in the book. It's not 100% accurate, but pretty close.

That staking was awful! They are so gooey when they explode! I can't believe she did that. I don't think Jason will forgive her. If only she weren't such a complete psycho, maybe she'd be good for Jason. Jason's such a selfish bastard in the books, but he's ALMOST, kind of, sort of redeemable in the show. He's such a rotten brother to Sookie in the books. Maybe seeing how stupid he really is makes him a little less repulsive as a person. A little. I'm glad LaFayette called him out on his stupidity in the last episode.

Anonymous said...

Hey Shelley! :)

Oh good, I'm really looking forward to seeing what transpires between Eric/Sookie in this book so I'm glad you said its that good.

The original Tara was prettier and skinnier but she was way more aggressive and angrier than the Tara on the show now. I like this Tara better though she needs a better storyline besides the mom stuff, but the her and Sam stuff is pretty good.

I'll try to find the original pilot later and post the link if I can remember!

Now does Pam have a more prominent storyline as the books progress? And does she and Eric ever have a thing?

I know! Explode much? I felt bad for that vamp lol But yeah I think that was the beginning of the end of Wackjob/Jason. I wonder if she'll last past this season since there's only two episodes left.

Yup again with the foreboding. I think Lafayette's confrontation with Jason was a omen for what will come.

Do you belong to any True Blood forums or anything?

Pam never gets much of a story. She gets more involved in Sookie's life, but remains a supporting character with little of her own plotline. They give you some tidbits of her backstory here and there. I would love to see her more developed. I think she's interesting. The book reveals little bits of her sense of humor that are amusing.

I'd love to see original Tara! That character does need more than the mom stuff. That's about played out.

I don't belong to any trueblood forums. I love the books, though, and the show so far is great! I should join a forum.

MrsB108 said...

Ok now I can't see this because I'm at work and there are TONS of filters here but this should show clips of old Tara:

http://uk.truveo.com/True-Blood-old-tara-is-always-angry/id/1572710270

So just copy and paste and tell me if I got it right!

Well as for Pam do you think its possible in the future books for CHarris to reveal more about her then? She hasnt said how many books there would be total in the series right?

I'm part of the Gateworld forum, though it was primarily set up for Stargate stuff it has plenty of subforums for other shows like True Blood. You can peruse it here:

http://forum.gateworld.net

Plus there are TONS of True Blood forums just for that show as well.

It worked and that Tara is just not good. The new Tara puts so much more into her facial expressions. Amazing that she can say the same words and come off mean, but not alienating and uncomfortable.

I don't know about Pam and the books. I hope so. I've read all of them, so I can't wait for her to come out with more. You will definitely enjoy them!

I do visit Gateworld occasionally for show info, so I'll have to check out their forums as well! Thanks!

Oh good. At least you saw it so you know what I mean.

Yeah the Tara now is wicked funny too. She gets some good lines. And even though her mothers story is old hat, the woman playing her mother is very believable as well.

Well in about half an hour I'll be picking it back up to read so I will def let you know what I think!

Hey which book was your favorite if you had to choose?

Oh good. And the True Blood thread is under the General Sci-Fi & Fantasy section.

Let me know if you decide to join!

Are there any other shows you watch?

My favorite one...hmmm...that's a tough one. I'd say that I found the most recent one the most satisfying. She leaves it open enough to keep the story going but closed enough that you don't feel cheated since the next book won't be out until who knows when. It also gives several storylines some closure, so it's good stuff. I remember really enjoying the one you are reading as well. Blank memory Eric is so fun and endearing.

I agree about Tara and her mom.

I'll definitely have to join the True Blood forum and I'll post back here when I do to let you know.

I watch too much TV. In sci-fi, I'm totally loving Supernatural this season. It's hit it's stride! Also, I watch Stargate Atlantis, Fringe, and others. I love Chuck and Samantha Who? and How I met your mother. Too much TV, but I love it! How about you?

Anonymous said...

Oh man! As you can see from my blog I watch TONS of television! So don't feel bad! Right now its like this:
Sundays - True Blood
Mondays - Terminator & Heroes
Tuesdays - House & Fringe
Wednesdays - Bones & Sons of Anarchy
Thursdays - Smallville & Supernatural
Friday - Stargate Atlantis & Sanctuary

Other shows are LOST, BSG, Chuck, Dexter, Prison Break, Primeval, Robin Hood, Kyle XY, Torchwood, the list goes on and on and on....

Fav 3 are LOST, Supernatural, and either True Blood or Fringe. I can't decide lol

Ok I'm pulling my book out to read now! Woot!

Are you a shipper for anyone in Stargate Atlantis?

and OMG did you read the spoiler from today for Supernatural?

MrsB

I totally read the spoiler for Supernatural!! The "sacred" place has GOT to be Dean's car. What do you think? I totally love that show this season. Love my husband, but Dean is so yummmmmy!

I also love BSG (can't wait for January), Torchwood, Bones, Sanctuary, etc.

Stargate Atlantis shipper? Hmmm...I used to root for Teyla and Shepherd, but since she's got a babydaddy, I'm not really rooting for anyone right now. Keller and McKay would be a good match, but McKay is not "cookies" yet (to borrow from Buffy). He's not ready to be in a relationship.

What about you?

Anonymous said...

I soooooooo agree that its the Impala and it HAS to be Sam and Ruby. I was telling my husband this morning that people are probably gonna be mad about it - the whole 'there's an innocent person in there' deal. Either way, it'll be a good story, controversial or not. Sam must have really had a bad downward spiral after Dean died.

So we watch alot of the same shows! Have you been coming to my blog for awhile if I may ask, or was today your first time?

Yeah I'm still a Sheppard/Teyla shipper, thats the thread where I hang at Gateworld, but yeah the baby-daddy pretty much killed that story off. Now here's just hoping for something in the movie(s).

LOL for cookies!!!! HA! Buffy was the best but that line......What a riot.

I totally love your blog! I just found it a couple of weeks ago and added it to my obsessive list of spoiler sites (Spoilerfix.com, Korbi, Ausiello, WWK at E!). I love that you carry the videos, too!

It's nice to run into someone who's a Supernatural fan! My husband won't watch it with me and none of my friends are really into sci fi.

I am totally conflicted if it is Sam and Ruby (I suspect you are right that it is them). It's totally rape, but they've got to find a way around that to keep from alientating all the Sam fans. It will definitely be cool to see how they work it!

Ah, Buffy. Those were the days! Thank goodness Dollhouse is on the way to fill the Whedon void!!! Are you a Firefly fan, too? I wish they'd bring it back!

Anonymous said...

Well thanks a bunch for saying so!!! I'm glad to hear it!

Oh yeah Supernatural is excellent and this year it really kicked into high gear. The whole Castiel/Uriel thing is awesome, and I cannot wait to see what it was like for Dean in hell.

Hey did you read about the upcoming episode that shows Sam and Dean in high school?

I think they are going to do the whole Sam - Ruby thing but these writers seem pretty intelligent so maybe they will have some sort of semi-explanation to why it isnt a violation of the body etc. Like maybe saying the body she's currently inhabiting has been dead for 100 years, etc. I dont know, I'm just speculating.

Yup - Buffy, Angel, Firefly, all of it was the bomb. I am mad though that they're putting Dollhouse on tv on FRIDAYS!!! Its like the death day for tv shows. It's like Joss Whedon shows never catch a break.

Anonymous said...

I am totally with you on both Supernatural and Dollhouse.

On Supernatural, I can totally see Ruby inhabiting a dead body. Necrophilia is better than rape, I guess. Who ever thought that would be a topic for discussion? Ha ha! I can't wait to see Sam and Dean in high school. Probably a great mixture of hilarious and heartbreaking. And Dean's time in hell - that should be some mindblowing tv. When they sent him to hell at the end of last season, I about lost it. It was such a great twist that he didn't get out of it!

So Dollhouse is on Fridays, huh? Nice. Fox just hates Joss Whedon, I guess. I hope the diehard Whedon fans tune in anyway and we are lucky that DVRs count somewhat towards ratings now (not the case with firefly), so we don't have to rely on Nielson alone. I so hope it is worth the hype and wait!

MrsB108 said...

LOL Necrophilia Vs Demon Infested Rape. Choices, choices...LOL

You know what I mean though. Hopefully they will come up with something cool that doesnt infuriate people. But then also in the second episode (I think) this season when Meg is "haunting" Sam she says something about Ruby going through body after body after body. Or something to that effect.

Yeah its too bad they didnt get Jeffrey Dean Morgan back to play John for that flashback ep, that woulda been wicked cool.

So you read the spoilers about the demon who's stronger than Lilith that was Dean's tormentor in hell? Alistair?

I know - its evil really. And Eliza Dushku doesnt have much luck either with her last show crapping out as well. Its so wrong to not even give it a chance but like you said, hopefully DVR will count for something and I dont know if you watch Terminator but thats going to be the partner show with it on Fridays so hopefully their ratings will be around the same.

Anonymous said...

I know exactly what you mean and have had the same thought. I hope Ruby is dead or inhabiting a witch, maybe. Something to dampen the fury that will occur if Sam did the deed with a helpless girl.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan - that WOULD have been Wicked Cool!!

I hadn't heard about Alistair being Dean's tormentor. I'm so interested to see how it plays out. I can't wait each week for the next episode!!

MrsB108 said...

Yeah I will be really surprised if they don't have some sort of "plan" around that. Inhabiting a witch, thats a good one too.

I know right!

Oh yeah, I guess he shows up I believe its this weeks episode with the girl who can hear angels. And he remarks to Dean about 'Doesn't he remember him'? etc etc....

Are you in the US Shelley?

Anonymous said...

I am in the US. Georgia. You, Mrs. B? :-)

MrsB108 said...

I'm in New England.

So I just got to the part in the book where Pam, Chow, Sookie, and Jason are all arguing over what to do with Eric and Chow and Jason are arguing over Sookie getting paid to do so. LOL

Anonymous said...

Awesome! Finally, someone gets her financial distress. Totally relatable in this economy!!!

MrsB108 said...

Its too funny the way the debated the amount and when they agreed and Jason was like "Sookie, I'll get my shotgun". lol

Ok so now Jason is missing and Sookies headed to Shreveport.

Anonymous said...

So exciting!! Jason, Jason, Jason...always in trouble that one!

Sookie in Shreveport - the fun is just beginning!!

MrsB108 said...

Its so weird, Sookie just met up with Tara and she is just soooooooooo NOTHING like she is on the show.

So are you a fan of Lost as well or no?

Anonymous said...

Sorry I took a leave of absence? You still there? I am finishing a paper for school (I'm a returning student) and got immersed.

I couldn't hang with Lost after they discovered the hatch. I bailed.

Tara IS absolutely SOOOOOO different in the books! Amen to that! She is a fang banger, I think. Right?

Shelley said...

It was great chatting with you! I hope you enjoy your book!
