Fox Winter Schedule!

Fox is feeling good about its new Tim Roth drama "Lie to Me." The net has given the show a plum post-"American Idol" slot on Wednesdays starting in January.

As part of its annual January sked makeover, Fox is also giving a vote of confidence to fresh drama "Fringe" by keeping it in the Tuesday 9 p.m. slot after "Idol" returns to the sked. The eighth season of "Idol" bows with two-hour premiere segs on Jan. 13 and Jan. 14. "Fringe" will have its first post-"Idol" airing on Jan. 20. "Lie to Me," starring Roth as a government "deception expert" who can tell if someone is fibbing, preems in the 9 p.m. slot on Jan. 21.

"House" will relocate from Tuesday to Monday 8 p.m. as of Jan. 19 to make room for "Idol." As of the same night, "24" will return to the Monday 9 o'clock slot, following its four-hour preem Jan. 11-12.Joss Whedon sci-fi drama "Dollhouse" will move into the Friday 9 p.m. slot Feb. 13. Fox had previously said the Eliza Dushku starrer would be paired on Mondays with "24." Instead, it'll team on Fridays with "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," which has been airing on Mondays this fall, paired with "Prison Break.""Bones," the Emily Deschanel procedural that has been a solid player for Fox this season, shifts from Wednesday to Thursday at 8 p.m. as of Jan. 15. It will be paired for two weeks with Gordon Ramsay reality skein "Kitchen Nightmares," followed on Jan. 29 by a new cycle of the Ramsay-hosted cooking competish series "Hell's Kitchen."

Stunt gameshow "Hole in the Wall" moves from Thursday to Sunday, where back-to-back segs will air from 7-8 p.m. leading into the net's animation block.Conspicuously absent from Fox's midseason sked is laffer " 'Til Death," which was benched from the Wednesday 9 p.m. berth earlier this month. Fox said it would return later in the season. "Prison Break" will also be back later in the season after its skedded winter hiatus.
