Jericho Overload!

Here's a spoilery review from someone over at Spoilertv named Fed:

"Its....errrr......different. I still can't decide if its good different or bad different. Its definitely nothing like season one. The storyline is still great, the details of the attacks are definitely coming into focus. The big problem I have, a problem that I can easily overlook since I love Jericho so much, is that the budget cuts are VERY visible. Very few location shoots, some of the scenes looked like a stage play. The production value just felt much, much lower than last season. And I'm very worried that some of the cast will not be returning. The following characters did not show up in the premiere at all: Gail Green, Bonnie Richmond, Dale Turner, Skylar Stevens, and either of Hawkins kids. The following characters had less than a minute (some mere seconds) on the screen: Gray Anderson, Bill and Jimmy (the Deputies) and Mary Bailey. Esai Morales' character Major Beck is a strong addition to the cast. The formation of a new government also makes for an interesting story.OK, here's a few interesting spoilers...

*Jake becomes the Sheriff

*In response to the attacks, the US nuked Iran and North Korea, pretty much erasing them from the map. Not really clear if it was done as part of the larger conspiracy out or rash judgment and poor decisions based on bad intelligence and speculation on the part of what government was left over. The world believes that Iran and North Korea were responsible for the attacks and paid the price for it.

*The new government forms tribunals into the New Bern War and find New Bern at fault, their accountability for starting the war causes great upset with the Green Brothers.

*The remnants of the Federal Government before the attacks reformed in Columbus, OH and is weak and fractured, and only holds the states East of the Mississippi River, but just barely.

*The Allied States of America, which is comprised of the territory West of the Mississippi River, is the real power, having begun major reconstruction and relief, and is making big strides in putting the infrastructure back together. The ASA is run by the architects of the attacks, the very same people Hawkins is trying to bring down.

*The United Nations maintains the border along the Mississippi, aka "The Blue Line"

*The people of Jericho are thrilled to be brought back from Armageddon, but feel things aren't quite right with the new government.I'm seriously worried. The writing and the acting are still strong, but everything else is seriously lacking. Here's hoping the writing and acting can carry the show into a third season."
