Legend of the Seeker Spoilers!
If you're a fan of the syndicated fantasy series Legend of the Seeker, you must not miss this weekend's all-new "Torn." It features some ultrasexy Richard-and-Kahlan scenes, and we just chatted with Bridget Regan exclusively to find out why the Confessor and the Seeker are making out, plus we got scoop on how come the show shook up season two with a new castmember and a new look for Kahlan...
OK, so we hear this weekend's episode is a big one for Kahlan—tell us what's she in for.
The episode is called "Torn" and Kahlan is summoned to Aydindril, which is her home normally, and where the Mother Confessor would preside and live. She goes, and something really horrible happens, and Kahlan gets literally split into two. So, I have the absolute pleasure of playing nearly two different roles. And one side or the other can completely go out of control, especially when one side has this magical power that can really take over when it's not balanced with emotion and compassion and so forth.
So one side has the Confessor's power and the other side has the Confessor's grace and wisdom?
The way I like to think of it is that one woman is all just duty and responsibility, and the other woman is all love, heart and emotion.
Do Richard, Cara and Zedd know what's happened to Kahlan, or does it take them a while to catch on?
That answer to that question plays out throughout the episode, they obviously get to the bottom of it. Somebody has to figure it out, right, so we can save the world again? Because that's what we do! Kahlan is slowly figuring it out herself, but these two separate women are like a yin and yang sort of thing, and they are both quite happy to stay the way they are.
Can't wait to see it. This whole season has been great because Richard and Kahlan have been able to see much more affectionate.
I fight for that so much, and not just because Craig's dreamy. I think, like, how could you go that long, you know? You'd have to break sometimes! They have to stay human. Every time we're around a campfire, I'm ask, "Should we be spooning? Can we spooning please? Or like wake up holding hands?" And everybody's like, c'mon, you'd be dead. It's true, and in front of Zedd and Cara, you really do have to keep that [façade] up.
And Craig's character Richard Cypher turns out to be so important! He's the Seeker, he's Lord Rahl, he's a wizard—he's got everything.
Sometimes I'll look at Craig and I'm like, you're pretty important, right? They diverged from the books so much in the first season that I didn't know if they were going to stay true to that and have him become this wizard, and that was such a really cool journey. Plus then there's the prophecy that, "As long the Mother Confessor's pure heart beats, the keeper will fail," which has been really cool, because it's given Kahlan this duty to stay alive. She's always been like, "Hey, I'll lie down in traffic for you, Richard, I’m here for you." The prophecy has tipped the scale the other way, and now she has to stay alive, because Kahlan believes in prophecies, she always has. But that's been challenged as well because of the [Shota] prophecy about Richard failing, but Kahlan believes Richard.
What's it been like to have Tabrett Bethell's character Cara join the cast?
Tab was the missing piece of the puzzle. I think that's what made this season take off. She just came in and challenged all of us and our characters challenged her. Kahlan, at first, if she had a chance, she would kill her or confess Cara, and to have it change so that Cara is someone she actually has this affection for and trust and believes in? Really cool. And also just having a woman on the set…oh my god, it was such a boy's club last year. Tab and I are a bit of a little team because our fighting styles are also quite similar, so we work together on that. And we're both in the make-up chair pretty damn early. I have someone I can say to, "Oh my god, it's not even light out yet!" We're in it together, which is great.
Speaking of makeup and Kahlan's look, let's talk her new costume. Where did that come from?
I wanted it to be more warrior-like. Kahlan needs to stay alive, she needs to fight, and I think it's a more fighting-friendly costume. She always had the long skirt, and I think maybe she just slit it up the front so she can kick and run quicker and all that. We like to think she ripped out the lining of her coat and cut it off and made it all herself. It's fun to do that stuff. I love it. Everyone wanted Kahlan to change a bit. And I like the idea that Cara's influence has affected her. Don't worry, the white dress is still in her backpack, rolled up. It comes back out now and again. When she needs to be a Confessor, she put thats on—I like to think that it means something. It says something like, I'm a person of the highest authority in the Midlands, so when I put this on, ya'll better listen. I like that it's a choice to put it on. And that's really similar to the books.

The prognosis on Huddy is in, and it’s excellent.
I just hung up with House creator David Shore, and — no beating around the bush here — he promised me, “Eventually, it’s going to happen. This is the thing we’ve been dancing around — even before we knew we were dancing around it. They’re two very flawed people, but they’re two people that are very attracted to each other.
“I’m a Huddy fan, [too],” Shore added. “Just keep watching the show. It’ll happen eventually.”
I can confirm that there was not a single qualifier in that sentence. I listened to the tape three times. Not a single “maybe” or “possibly” in there.

So far, John May has been more an enigma on the series. He's been discussed as the leader and founder of the Fifth Column, an underground group of rebel Visitors that Ryan (Morris Chestnut) and Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) have been attempting to resurrect.
Trucco, who is best known for his role on Battlestar, Final Five Cylon Sam Anders, will appear in one episode slated to air April 13. Let's hope we see much more of John May!

Vampire Diaries Casting Scoop!
Stephen Martines has landed a recurring role on the CW's freshman drama "Vampire Diaries."
He will play a bad-ass vampire named Frederick who is locked in the tomb with Katherine (Nina Dobrev) and is up to no good when released.
Following last night's episode, the vampire drama is going on a six-week hiatus, returning with originals on March 25.
Stephen Martines, a former soap star who started off on "General Hospital" and "The Guiding Light," recently recurred on TNT's crime drama "The Closer, " where he played a news reporter who asked Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick) some tough questions.
Martines is managed by Evolution.

Smallville Scoop!
While fans of Smallville have longed to see longtime friends Chloe (Allison Mack) and Clark (Tom Welling) take their friendship to the next level, there's a new relationship coming to light. Oliver (Justin Hartley) and Chloe will develop a spark in the coming episodes, but it's a bond unlike what we've seen between Lois (Erica Durance) and Clark. TVGuide.com spoke with Mack on her second time directing (Friday's episode, "Warrior"), her thoughts on Lois and Clark and much more!
TVGuide.com: Let's start off by discussing this week's episode, "Warrior."
Mack: They assign all of the directors numbers ... I was given Episode 13 this year and I was given Episode 13 last year, so apparently 13 is my lucky number because I've ended up with great scripts for both seasons. This one ... I had heard that it was like a little kid in a big body story a few weeks before I actually received the script. I started studying Big, but it wasn't until I actually got the script that I started to understand the real essence of the episode and got really excited about the opportunity to explore it on camera.
TVGuide.com: What kind of relationship are Chloe and Oliver going to have?
Mack: Oliver and Chloe are both coming from very similar mindsets and they're very professional. A relationship that develops out of those types of people is never one of softness or romance. It's a really interesting dynamic because both are aware that the most important thing is their mission in the world, not their relationships. They have a very strained and secretive relationship, which is similar to Clark and Lois, but they don't have the softness or the romance that Clark and Lois have. It's very fun, it's very mature and very secretive, strategic and interesting.
TVGuide.com: What are your thoughts on the Smallville fans that want to see Chloe and Clark together?
Mack: It's lovely that they're keeping the hope alive. [Laughs]
TVGuide.com: How does Chloe feel about seeing Lois and Clark together?
Mack: I don't think she's a very big fan, but I don't think it's coming from a place of jealousy. I think it's coming from a place of practicality. I think that Chloe recognizes, and you'll see this in "Persuasion," that when Clark is distracted, Clark does not do his best work. When Clark is in love is when Clark is distracted. Chloe is very reticent of being supportive of anything that will distract from naturalizing his heroic position in the world. His relationship with Lois is definitely proving to be a distraction just as she expected.
TVGuide.com: Will Clark and Chloe's friendship come together more?
Mack: They're working towards the same mission, they have the same ideals, but their journey, their path and their choices to actualize those missions are very different. While they are working together, because they always have and always will need each other, they also, both of them, have projects they're working on the side that don't involve the other, which puts a really interesting divide between the two characters and allows them some great dramatic tension.
TVGuide.com: How will the Justice League now develop or change in the coming episodes?
Mack: I think they become a much more deliberate group of superheroes. They have a system and we have a commitment now, all of them do. All of them are actually out and proactively seeking to fight crime and save the world in a way that was a little more haphazard before. With Chloe at the helm of all of them, I think they're a lot more effective and intentional in what it is they're trying to achieve.
TVGuide.com: What's your take on Dr. Fate's statement that he and Chloe share the same path? Could he mean that she's the next Dr. Fate?
Mack: We have played around with lots of different things. It could mean she's the next Dr. Fate. It could mean that she will soon be ridiculed and put in the hospital for being insane, like her mother, sort of a throwback to Chloe's fear of adopting her mother's mental illness.
TVGuide.com: What role will Chloe play in investigating Checkmate and Agent Waller (Pam Grier)?
Mack: Chloe plays a very proactive role in the relationship between Clark and Amanda Waller, mainly because she's a threat to her league. As part of her duties as Watch Tower, she is very protective of her league and what they represent and stand for. She's very aggressive about trying to figure out who Checkmate is, what it's about and how to stop her.
TVGuide.com: Will being big brother as Watch Tower come back to hurt her eventually?
Mack: She's definitely experiencing the challenges of being so aggressive with her pursuit to save, especially in her relationship with Clark. She's also starting to understand what it means to put yourself in the line of fire. So her safety is threatened several times and she's starting to recognize that she's in the big kids league now and there's not really any turning back ... At this point in Chloe's life, she doesn't have a whole lot to lose.
TVGuide.com: What is Chloe's driving force and her mindset as we continue through the season?
Mack: I think Chloe is really exploring that question, "Do the ends justify the means?" Because I think Chloe is at a place right now that she sees how bad the world is and sees the need for some really dramatic and drastic decisions. She's struggling to decide whether or not what she needs to sacrifice is worth what she needs to save.

White Collar Scoop!
Marsha Thomason’s lesbian agent on White Collar will be getting a much heavier workload in season 2.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that the former Las Vegas and Lost star has been upgraded to a full-fledged series regular on the USA Network smash.
Thomason’s character, junior FBI agent Diana Lancing, turned up in the White Collar pilot, but hasn’t been seen or heard from since. I’m told she’ll reappear in the season 1 finale on March 9 and then return full-time in season 2.
Thomason recently completed an arc on General Hospital as the manager-girlfriend of James Franco’s psycho killer-slash-painter.

Former EastEnders actor Adam Croasdell has landed a role in hit American drama Supernatural, Digital Spy can reveal.

Ausiello: I can’t tell you very much. Cynthia Watros, however, describes her onscreen reunion with Jorge Garcia as “so sweet and honest. And I think, hopefully, when people see our scenes that they’ll get that feeling, too. [Libby and Hurley] are so incredibly real with each other. I was really grateful that I got to play those scenes and Libby got to sort of express herself in ways that she hasn’t been able to.”

Ausiello: This is more scoop than spoiler, but singer-songwriter Liz Phair has been tapped as the composer for the new season (debuting March 31). Liz previously served as a composer on 90210, Swingtown, and The Beautiful Life. Who knew? Not me.
Question: What brings Leslie Hope back into the fold on The Mentalist? —Liz
Ausiello: She’s hired by a local police department to help solve the same case that Jane and the CBI team are working on.
Question: These Chuck ’shippers are driving me crazy with their negativity after “Chuck Versus the Mask.” Can you give them something positive in regards to Chuck/Sarah that will get them to retract their claws? Please help! —Jason

Q: Did you anticipate that the episode would elicit this kind of reaction?
SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: We knew it was going to cause a bit of angst in some viewers. We didn’t expect this level certainly, though we are appreciative that our fans are this invested in the characters. One thing we didn’t anticipate when we made this episode was that it would be the last episode before a three-week hiatus.
Q: Why did you decide to have both Chuck and Sarah embark on new romances (with Hannah and Shaw, respectively) in the same episode?
SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: Because we are masochists. We kid, we kid. It happens sometimes in life. If you see one person moving on, it can spur you to move on as well. But we want to stress, Chuck and Sarah are not emotionally in the same place at the end of this episode.
Q: Which of the two relationships poses the bigger threat to Chuck and Sarah?
SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: There are things far greater than a relationship that threaten Chuck and Sarah… Stay tuned.
Q: Can you offer any hope to Chuck/Sarah fans?
SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: As we’ve said before, [Monday's episode] was Chapter 7 of 19 of this season. We love and appreciate our fans. We know our fans are why we’re back this season. But we need them to trust us to tell the most emotionally satisfying story possible. This has been mapped out from the start, and we always knew telling this portion of the story would be difficult for some. But we need people to come to back to the show March 1st — now more than ever — and we think if they do take this journey with us, they will see what we had planned the whole time. This is part of a bigger story than just “will they or won’t they.”
It’s worth pointing out that not everyone was disgusted by Monday’s turn of events…
Question: I absolutely love Kristin Kreuk as Hannah on Chuck. Any idea how many more episodes she will be in this season? —Jeremy
Ausiello: Just one. Schwartz and Fedak confirmed that Kreuk’s arc will conclude on March 1. Meanwhile, Brandon Routh’s stay has been extended yet again, although Team um… Schwedak (?) wouldn’t provide an updated episode count.
Question: Any chance the name of Christopher Lloyd’s shrink on Chuck is Doc Brown? Also, does his episode have a title? —Jeremy
Ausiello: His character’s name is not Doc Brown. And the episode is called “Chuck Versus the Tooth.”
Question: Thank you for mentioning Legend of the Seeker in your last Ask Ausiello column. I really love the show and the more exposure it gets, the better. —Jason
Ausiello: I’m glad you feel that way, because exec producer Ken Biller gave me at least three more weeks’ worth of scoop. “We are doing a really fun episode that is guest starring Parker Stevenson of The Hardy Boys and Baywatch fame,” reveals Biller. “He’s playing a nobleman who has made a deal with the Keeper — who in our world is essentially the devil — for eternal life in exchange for turning over Kahlan. And because he is going to live eternally but be relegated to the confines of his own kingdom, he needs to choose a new wife. And so the character of Cara, who is the least ladylike of all our characters, in order to infiltrate the palace and rescue Kahlan, is going to have to try and pose as a very ladylike princess. That’s a lot of fun. Zed and Richard have to go in with her as her royal retinue and keep up this ruse in order to try to rescue Kahlan.”

Ausiello: I get it! As you no doubt saw in the previews for next week’s episode, Jack finds himself on the receiving end of yet another brutal interrogation. But this one may be worth sitting through, if only to witness the shocking (literally) conclusion.
Question: I love the idea of Cynthia Watros playing Wilson’s first wife on House. How long will she be sticking around for? —Rose
Ausiello: That’s TBD. As of now, it’s a handful of episodes. Should producers decide to keep her around long-term, they won’t have a tough time coming up with an organic way to integrate her into the show: Her character is a doctor.

Ausiello: I can’t tell you very much. Cynthia Watros, however, describes her onscreen reunion with Jorge Garcia as “so sweet and honest. And I think, hopefully, when people see our scenes that they’ll get that feeling, too. [Libby and Hurley] are so incredibly real with each other. I was really grateful that I got to play those scenes and Libby got to sort of express herself in ways that she hasn’t been able to.”
Question: Kurt’s new BF on Glee is out, proud, fabulous and a football player. But is he in the glee club? —Ashley
Ausiello: Yes, he will be a member of New Directions. He won’t, however, be an R&B singer — a rumor I dispelled in the newest episode of Ausiello TV.
