SPOILERS!

Question: Why is Kirk Acevedo leaving Fringe? His choice? Storyline dictated? --Dee
Ausiello: Storyline dictated. Charlie wasn't going to have much to do this season, and rather than waste Kirk's time, they cut him loose. But as I teased last week, we haven't seen the last of him.
Question: We haven't heard anything new on House for a while. Can you give us something nice and juicy? --Mariel
Ausiello: Not sure if this is juicy but it's definitely nice: I think House and his asylum mates are going on a field trip to an amusement park in the two-hour opener. According to a completely sane insider, the show shot scenes on location at Universal Studios last week. I'm told House was working the Skydiving Fan. Whatever that is.
Question: What's this I here about a Booth and Brennan kiss on Bones? Confirmation, please! --Molly
Ausiello: Series creator Hart Hanson confirms that a season-opening smooch "was scripted," but adds, "I'm in no way confirming that it was a sincere scripting. Could have been a way to identify leaks." Now, as someone who's been in this situation before, here's what you need to do next, Molly: Get in touch with your mole and tell him to pack his bags, grab his passport and get the hell out of the country. They're onto him!
Question: I've been asking for weeks and I refuse to give up: Please give us some Legend of the Seeker scoopage. --Jeff
Ausiello: I've got just the thing to get you off my case: Is season 2's fifth episode, we'll meet a young (20s-30s) version of Zedd.
Question: They're have been conflicting reports about where Smallville is heading in the romance department this year. Is it the season of Clois, or are they really revisiting Lois and Ollie again? --Jeff
Ausiello: It's full-tilt-Clois. I'm sure they will touch on Lois-Ollie, but it won't be anything significant.
Question: Will Glee introduce Lea's mom? Wouldn't it be cool if it turned out to be Idina Menzel? Just a thought. --Wendy
Ausiello: I like the way your mind works. Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans to bring on Lea's mom. We don't even meet her dads in the first 13 episodes.
Question: I'm dying for some Dexter scoop? --Meg
Ausiello: Season 4 will herald the arrival of new loves for both Batista and Laguerta. Very happy about the Batista part of that. His love story with the undercover hooker last season made me throw up in my mouth a little.
Question: I saw your Tweet about having seen Dollhouse's "Epitaph One" episode. What did you think? I can't wait to see it next week at Comic-Con! --Tim
Ausiello: Before I answer that, you should know that A) I was a little buzzed when I tweeted that, B) I'm not that bright, and C) aggressive watermarks make me dizzy. With that out of the way, here's my review: I was completely and utterly lost. I may try watching it again this weekend. Or just let one of you explain it to me at Comic-Con.

Harper's Island Scoop!

Death became Harper's Island Saturday when the limited series wrapped up with two big (but maybe not-so-surprising) reveals: The second killer and John Wakefield's child both turned out to be the groom, Henry (Christopher Gorham). If the murderous rampage wasn't enough, Henry also shared that he did it all for the love of his life: his half-sister Abby (Elaine Cassidy). Creepy? Yes, but Gorham, who didn't find out he was the killer until after filming seven episodes, "loved it," he tells TVGuide.com. "I immediately bought a scary-looking knife that I kept in my pocket that no one knew I had. I was armed from the next day." See what else the actor and Cassidy had to say about "broken" Henry, whether or not he committed incest and more.
TVGuide.com: Chris, you do unhinged really well, especially since we're so used to you playing good guys. How hard was it to keep it a secret that you were the killer?
Christopher Gorham: [Laughs] Thank you! It was really hard. One, there were a couple people on set who really, really wanted to know everything, one of them being Katie Cassidy, so it was difficult keeping it from her. Elaine was easy because she didn't want to know anything. ... Also, I wanted to read up on serial killers, and it was difficult to do that because I didn't want to be recognized in the bookstore. I was trying to be all incognito and paid in cash. Then I couldn't read serial killer books on set, or on the plane, or at home. My wife didn't know. I told no one. That was really tricky, but it was fun.
TVGuide.com: Elaine, who did you think the killer was?
Elaine Cassidy: When we shot the presentation, I thought it was the sheriff, Abby's dad. After day four or something, I said, "Oh, I know who it is! It's John Wakefield!" [Laughs] So I was kind of right! I came up with different theories and I thought, "You know what, if I'm guessing, that's all it's going to be." So I decided not to consume myself with it and [instead] consumed myself with Abby's problems and I think she has a fair few!
TVGuide.com: I had pegged Henry from the beginning, especially after he kept pairing off with Abby and looking after her instead of Trish. During filming or in retrospect, did you notice that?
Gorham: Yeah. It was done on purpose. One of the moments that I really liked was when Trish started speaking up: "Um, I'm coming with you too." [Laughs] That sets things up. Before that, she lost her dad and was in her emotional world, but she comes out of it and realizes something's a bit off.
TVGuide.com: On the wedding invitation in the pilot, it said Henry's middle initial was "W." But in the flashback, he's called "Henry James Dunn." Was that a mistake or a clue that he was the killer and embracing his inner Wakefield?
Cassidy: I know they used that scene in the car that was from the presentation because I had to wear that same outfit... so they might've changed [the name] in between.
TVGuide.com: Elaine, in the scene where you wake up in your underwear, are we supposed to think Henry just put you to bed or that he actually slept with you?
Cassidy: I suppose the only person who knows the answer to that is Henry! [There's a deleted] scene where there was a plaster on Abby's arm, so she'd been injected with something. I don't know what Henry did while she was unconscious, but she doesn't have time to dwell on that.
TVGuide.com: Why didn't Abby shoot Wakefield in the woods? And what would Henry have done if she did shoot and kill him?
Cassidy: I think it's just not in her nature. She really beats herself up about it because it's the one thing her dad asked her to do and maybe it got people screaming at the TV: "Why are you doing that?!" In that moment, she just can't do it. I don't know what Henry would've done. I'm sure he would've continued on killing everyone else.
TVGuide.com: Why did Henry have to tell Abby everything? He technically could've gotten away with it because when she ran out of the church, she didn't know he was the killer or related to Wakefield.
Gorham: It was Wakefield's deal that he had to kill the thing he loved that wouldn't love him back, like a cleansing ritual. In Wakefield's mind, Henry had to kill Abby because she would never love Henry back. I always thought it was more interesting if Henry always planned on betraying his father, which didn't make it easy. I never believed that he could kill Abby, and the reason is I think he believes once he gets her alone and Wakefield's gone, she will fall in love with him. It's supposed to impress her.
TVGuide.com: Not to get too analytical over a psychopath's mindset, but why the elaborate plan? Did he even love Trish or his friends?
Gorham: I feel like he thought he loved Trish when he was younger, but the older he got, the crazy took hold. It's not like he found out he was adopted and then snapped. It's like when Shea was talking about Wakefield that some people are just born bad. Henry is one of those people — just born broken. That matures over the years. I think he had real affection for Trish.
TVGuide.com: Was that a hard kill for him?
Gorham: I think there were three really difficult murders for Henry, the hardest being J.D. Those tears, when Abby turns and sees Henry, I think are completely genuine. Part of the reason he didn't finish the job before Abby got there was because he found it unexpectedly difficult. Killing Trish and his dad were difficult. Everyone else, I don't think was difficult. I think he really enjoyed killing Sully.
TVGuide.com: That was so sad — the slow reveal and then literally stabbing him in the back after he stayed behind for you.
Gorham: Which is what makes it so sad! Sully has been his best friend, but at the same time, Sully has sold Henry out completely at least two times, and the one heroic thing he does is the thing that gets him killed. Henry appreciates the irony and he taunts him. I think he was saving Jimmy. Jimmy was the golden goose kill. He would've really loved to kill him slowly.
TVGuide.com: What's next for you guys? Elaine, you shot part of the show pregnant.
Cassidy: Yeah, for me the role of a lifetime for a lifetime. I'm in pre-production and post-production starts soon. [Laughs] I'm really eager to work, but no one wants to employ a beached whale, so I'll have to wait.
Gorham: I just finished an independent film called My Girlfriend's Boyfriend with Alyssa Milano. In August, I'm shooting another one called Trivial Pursuit from the guys that do Funny or Die.
TVGuide.com: I talked to Matt Barr and he pitched Harper's Island: The College Years so we can see all of your collegiate debauchery. Would you be up for it?
Gorham: [Laughs] I imagine, coming from Matt, it would be all about Sully and his romantic conquests.
TVGuide.com: But that'd be OK, right? We'll know you guys will live and we can see Henry practice killing people.
Gorham: Yeah, that's all right. I'd work for Matt Barr any day!
Cassidy: Yeah, totally!

SPOILERS!

Heroes' Greg Grunberg has hinted that Matt's super-powered son may not have gotten all his powers from daddy. Is Janice a hero, too? — Curtis
TIM: Maybe so, says Lisa Lackey, the Australian actress/"superhero" boasting an amazing ability to inhabit fictional characters such as Janice. "That would be fantastic," she says, "because, I've got to say, it's a little boring being the only one who doesn't have a power. It would be very interesting if she knew more than she was letting on." As of shooting on the Season 4's fourth episode, however, no powers have emerged. Look for our full interview with Lackey soon.
Your Q&A with Titus Welliver made me even more impatient for Lost's return (as if that were possible). Got any other scoop on the final season? — Meg
MATT: It depends on what you make of the following: TVGuide.com editor Adam Bryant just returned from a trip to Hawaii, and during a tour of Lost filming locations, the wooden structure from which Jughead originally dangled was still erect on Oahu. Keeping in mind that Lost is meticulous about putting away their toys after they are done being used, I ask: Why is a set piece from the 1954 storyline still camera-ready? (ABC had no comment.)
Any scoop on Castle? I love that show. — Joni
TIM: Season 2's opening scene finds Det. Beckett more than a little annoyed at Castle's celebrity as he celebrates the release of his new book with a story in Cosmopolitan... and two women dressed in skimpy police uniforms. It seems Beckett is a little tired of being seen not just as a seasoned professional but as Castle's potential love interest. Unfortunately for the character, that's precisely why she's on the show.
I can't wait for Glee to start again! Any scoop? — Julianne
MICKEY: Question for you, Julianne. Are you as sick of the "Single Ladies" choreography as jokey Internet meme (see: here, here, here and here) as I am? That's too bad for both of us, because it's the inspiration for an entire episode in which Kurt joins the football team. Also: Somebody's pregnant, and it ain't Will's wife.
Now that Drea de Matteo is on Desperate Housewives, will she no longer be on Sons of Anarchy? — Jennifer
How big a presence will Ally Walker's blistering ATF agent, June Stahl, have in Sons of Anarchy's second season, now that SAMCRO's world has been invaded by Neo-Nazis? — Aino
TIM: De Matteo's move to the 'burbs signals the end of her Sons run. The actress isn't currently slated to film anything for Season 2. Walker will be back, however, as Stahl still has plenty of scores to settle in Charming.

Dexter Episode Title & Casting Call!
LOST Interview!
Recent interview with actor Titus Welliver who played the mysterious enemy of Jacob in last season's LOST finale.TVGuide.com: How does it feel to be dropped into the zeitgeist that is Lost?
Titus Welliver: It's pretty insane. It's pretty insane. This is a completely different thing for me. At the street level, it has been crazy. People — from all walks of life — come up and say, "Now, you possessed Locke...?" "Are you in fact Locke?" "Has the character of Locke been created from you, and this was a whole setup to crash the plane?"
TVGuide.com: The funny thing is they can only refer to you as "you," because they didn't give your character a name. By what name did you know him?
Welliver: He has no name. He's just "the man," because they don't want to give anything away. I know that this character has a name and I know the importance of it; that's all that I know.
TVGuide.com: So you don't know his actual name?
Welliver: No — and I think they deliberately withheld that.
TVGuide.com: Were you only given the script pages for your scene?
Welliver: No, I got a whole script. But the thing is, unless you're watching the show weekly, you've no bloody idea what's going on. It's not a show that you can just drop into the middle of. I had watched Lost during the first season, but then life and children sort of prevent one from being able to consistently stay with something.
TVGuide.com: Did the producers give you any notes on what the dynamic should be between you and Mark Pellegrino's Jacob?
Welliver: Liz Sarnoff, one of the writers on the show, is actually an old colleague from a show that we did with David Milch, Big Apple, and from Deadwood. Her explanation was that Jacob sees man as being a flawed creature, but that there is always hope, whereas my character has a much more cynical but in some ways realistic view of man. She said, "Now extrapolate from that what you will. Are they waxing philosophical? Are they gods?" What occurs to me as I watch Locke mention the loophole and pitch Jacob into the fire is, "Clearly this other man on the beach has inhabited Locke on some level" — and it never suspends your belief simply because of how intricate the mysterious nature of the show is. You never say, "Aw, c'mon." I find it interesting that the audience completely buys into what [the writers] put in front of them.
TVGuide.com: Fans have all sorts of theories on the Jacob-Man No. 2 relationship. Some see the obvious parallels with the Bible's Jacob and Esau, but there are also a wealth of Egyptian comparisons...
Welliver: Yeah, the Esau thing seems to dominate the extrapolating conversations. People on the subway say, "Are you Esau?" The interactions are that random.
TVGuide.com: Do you think it's as simple as one of these guys is good and the other evil?
Welliver: The way that I interpreted it, on a biblical level, is that it's a sort of Cain-and-Abel scenario. So by destroying Jacob, what does that prove — that [the man in black] can ultimately have power over the island? Do the castaways become solely his playthings? And why was it so important that he find the loophole to be able to kill Jacob? That moved me in the direction of thinking that if he needs this loophole, there's a greater power than the two of them that they're answering to.
TVGuide.com: Right, someone had to establish that loophole. Some giant, cosmic lawyer.
Welliver: [Laughs] Exactly. What [the producers] said to me was, "No hand-wringing" — and I said, "Certainly not," I didn't want to do the Snidely Whiplash thing — "and understand that this is kind of a chess game," hence the fact that one's in black and one's in white. But are they part of the chess game... or are they the players?
TVGuide.com: It seems like Jacob could have one last ace up his sleeve, as evidenced by him saying before dying, "They're coming." He may have put one final countermeasure in place.
Welliver: Oh, yeah. Somebody asked me about that — "Is your character going to just take over?" — and of course I don't have the answer. But as a viewer I think, "It can't be that easy to get rid of Jacob."

Lee in Utica, N.Y.: Michelle Forbes' character Maryann from True Blood is freaking me out a little bit with her vibrational weirdness. Should we worry about our favorite Bon Temps residents?
You should worry. True Blood star Chris Bauer, who plays Det. Andy Bellefleur tells us, "I don't think any of us escape [Maryann's] alien magnet beam." Chris says that Maryann's turned Andy into a "pathetic, drunken mess." But really, "The whole town at this point is up for grabs." OK, fine, but if Maryann hurts Terry, we're going to have words.
Petra in Colorado Springs, Colo.: I read that the prophet Chuck appears on Supernatural again this season. I love that guy! What does he tell the boys?
The prophet Chuck is definitely back on SPN in season five. Our sources say he doesn't prophesize anything specific, but he does help out Sam and Dean. Also popping by this season will be one of Nathaniel's buddies, the archangel Raphael. According to Wikipedia, Raphael's specialty is healing. Wonder if he can help poor Sammeh with his season-launching nervous breakdown?
Benjamin in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.: Any chance of bringing Kyle XY back from the dead?
Still can't bring Kyle XY back from the dead, but you can find Matt Dallas on ABC this fall. He's a hot, young love interest for Rebecca Romijn on Eastwick.
Harriet in San Francisco: Any chance Divya and Evan are going to hook up on Royal Pains?
Regarding Evan Lawson's sexual chemistry with Divya (Reshma Shetty) on Royal Pains, Paulo Constanzo says, "There's definitely some tension. There's definitely something going on." As for Evan's upcoming woes, Paulo tells us, "Evan has a sordid past, and we're going to figure out what it is as the season unfolds."
Michelle in Wichita, Kan.: Any news on my beloved Dollhouse?
1. We'll be liveblogging Dollhouse's lost episode, "Epitaph One," for you from Comic-Con.
2. The season premiere is called "Vows," but whether those vows will be vows of marriage, vows of poverty or something else remains to be seen.
